Policies

RULES AND REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO THE USE OF THE FENTON COMMUNITY CENTER FACILITIES

1. The Fenton Community Center facilities are available to Clubs, organizations, and individuals for social get-togethers such as banquets, card parties, dances, receptions, and meetings.

2. Use of the Fenton Community Center facilities may be arranged by completing a contract and placing a security deposit.

3. No group may use the facilities without a duly executed contract. Contracts shall not be transferred, assigned, or sublet in whole or in part.

4. The building and grounds adjacent thereto are under general supervision of the Fenton Community Center Director. She shall have the authority to restrict the use of the building or grounds when in her opinion, such use will be detrimental to the general operations of the facilities.

5. The building shall be subject to inspection at any time by the Community Center Director or/and authorized representative of the Fenton Community Center Board. The Lessor reserves the right to hire a security guard(s) and include as additional charge if deemed necessary.

6. The Lessee shall be responsible for the following:
(A) Present contract to building attendant upon arrival at building.
(B) Necessary supervision over all persons in the building and adjacent grounds.
(C) Proper cleaning of kitchen, equipment and facilities after use. Place all cans, bottles, paper or other rubbish in plastic bags or proper containers. The Hall facilities used shall be restored to the condition they were prior to occupancy, before lessee vacates.

7. In case of lessee's failure to comply with the requirements of item 6 (C) the center may elect to employ such services and charge the cost to the respective Lessee.

8. Lessee shall be liable for all breakage, theft, and other damage or loss to property resulting from the occupancy and use of the building and grounds, other than normal wear and tear.

9. There shall be no decorations attached to the ceiling, walls, or lights, and no equipment shall be transferred from one room or one floor to another, except by permission of the Center Director.

10. The building must be vacated by guests by 1:00 a.m. unless permission is granted by Center Director

11. Drunkenness, profanity, fighting, or other disorderly conduct is prohibited. Serving of intoxicants to minors is strictly forbidden. In the event special permits are to be obtained, it will be responsibility of the Lessee to make application and obtain for display purposes.

12. The sale or offer for sale of beer, wine, or intoxicating beverages on the premises is strictly forbidden.

13. The use of loud speakers or public address systems is prohibited except by permission of the Center Director.

14. Set-up and arrangement of tables, chairs, and other facilities provided under this contract shall be the sole responsibility of the center. Layout must be submitted 1 week prior to event.

15. The Lessor assumes no responsibility for any material, equipment, foods, or beverages transported to the Fenton Community Center facilities for the purpose of this contract. The Lessee shall be responsible for such removal upon termination of this agreement.

16. No throwing of rice, glitter, birdseed, or confetti allowed in Hall.

17. Music must be terminated at 1:00 a. m.

18. Understanding and agreement pertaining to availability or building, and use of intoxicating beverages must be established prior to entering into contract.
